David Michael Stade was born the son of Richard and Marilyn (Seeley) Stade on Tuesday, November 9, 1965 in Escanaba, MI.
David grew up and received his early education in Gladstone, MI graduating from high school there. In 1988, David married and later divorced. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 1989 with a degree in Print Management. After graduation he moved to Portland, Oregon, where he enjoyed the Pacific Northwest area that he loved so well. David worked for a local printing firm, later going to S.M.M.S. for thirteen years, where he became a manager. When S.M.M.S. closed, he worked for Premier Press, where he was the Print Coordinator.
David’s interest’s included: football, hiking, fishing, mountain climbing, (Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainer, and Mt. Adams), skiing, golfing, and camping. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and he always played basketball or football with his son and the neighborhood teens. David also greatly enjoyed making his own beer.
On Friday, February 6, 2004, David Stade died in Portland when he was thirty-eight years, two months and twenty-seven days of age.
Surviving and left to honor his life are: his loving companion, Janice Bosley of Sherwood; his parents, Richard and Marilyn Stade of Gladstone, MI; his son: Barry Stade of Sherwood; his brother: Mark Stade of Troutdale; two sisters: Vickie St. Vincent of Ocala, FL, and Patti Groff of Milwaukee, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; and those who have come to know and appreciate him where he has lived and worked.
A memorial service to honor the memory of David will be established by the Stade family in the Spring. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. Memorial contributions may be directed to Marilyn Stade, 121 South Court St. Gladstone, MI 49837, for a memorial fund to be established at a future date.
