Catherine “Katie” Terrien

Died Feb. 21, 2004

Catherine “Katie” Terrien, 85, former Gladstone resident, was taken to the Lord following a lengthy illness on Saturday, February 21,2004 at the Rennes Healthcare Center in Peshtigo, Wisconsin where she had been a patient for the past 10 years.

Katie was born March 9, 1918 in Danforth, the daughter of Wilfred and Caroline (Cota) St. Vincent, and was raised in the Northland area. She had also lived in Wells for a while before moving to Gladstone in 1964.  Katie had worked at the J.C.Penney Store, Shaw Cleaners and Viau’s Market. She had taught C.C.D. for many years at St. Anthony’s Church in Wells and was a member of their Guild. She was a very active member with the Gladstone Senior Citizens and was a member of All Saints Church in Gladstone.

Her husband, Bernith C. Terrien, preceded her in death in 1987.

She leaves to survive: 5 Sons: Paul (Judy) Terrien of Gladstone, Mich.; Stephen Terrien of Gladstone, Mich.; Raymond (Sandy) Terrien of Green Bay, Wisc.; Leonard (Linda) Terrien  and Terrance Terrien both of Texas. 5 Daughters: Catherine (Gerald) Petersen of Hyde, Mich.; Mary Elaine (Joseph) Gareau of Flat Rock, Mich.; Sherry (Jack) Harrison of Cornell, Mich.; Barbara (Joseph) Cousineau of Green Bay, Wisc.; Pam Caron of Gladstone, Mich.; 5 Brothers: Clarence St. Vincent of Florida; Wayne (Bonnie) St. Vincent of Gladstone, Mich.; Norman (Ruth) St. Vincent of California; Leonard (Ann) St. Vincent of Colorado; 1 Sister: Gwen St. Aubin of Gwinn, Mich.; 35 Grandchildren; 40 Great Grandchildren numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernith in 1987; 1 Son: David Terrien in 1997; 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 24th, from 2:00 to 6:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. The Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine Terrien will be held Tuesday at 7:00 PM at All Saints Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. A lunch will follow in the church hall. Burial will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Rest Cemetery. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes are assisting the Terrien family
