Judith Marie “Judy” Fyhr, age 54, of Whispering Pines East in Escanaba died Wednesday evening March 3, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba where she was a patient.
Judith was born December 9, 1949 in Escanaba the daughter of Arnold and Eileen (Pada) Fyhr. She was raised in Gladstone and lived most of her life in Gladstone also in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. She had
worked for Sault Work Shop in Sault Ste Marie and Lakestates Industries for numerous years. Locally she had lived at Country Acres in Gladstone for 5 years and for the past 13 months at Whispering Pine East in Escanaba.
Judy loved working at Lakestates and enjoyed crocheting, making hook rugs and listening and dancing to music. Judy always had a giggle.
Survivors include: Father: Arnold T. Fyhr of Gladstone; Mother and Step Father: Eileen (Dr. David) Engstrom of Marquette; Brother: Donald (Linda Gray) Fyhr of Gladstone, MI; 2 Sisters: Kathy Fyhr of Gladstone Janice (Richard) Rabitoy of Sheboygan, WI; 2 Step Brothers: Chris (Jenny) Engstrom of Marquette, MI Dan Engstrom of Marquette, MI; Nieces and Nephews: Stacy Osby, Ashley Fyhr and David Fyhr of Gladstone, Craig (Lynn) Griggs of St. Petersburg, FL; Step Nieces and Nephews: Christopher, Alex, Bridgett and Jonas Engstrom of Marquette; Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins Caring friends of Whispering Pines and Country Acres.
Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Fyhr and her Grandparents: George and Evelyn Pada and Matilda and Oscar Fyhr.
Judy’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life Judith Marie Fyhr will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Schmidt of First Lutheran Church officiating. Luncheon will follow at the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
