Genevieve C. "Gen" Kidd Juneau Carley, age 92, of Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers (Formerly of Cooks) died Thursday morning May 6, 2004 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility where she was a patient.
Genevieve was born March 28, 1912 in Escanaba, MI the daughter of Charles and Sarah (Webber) Kidd. She was raised in Escanaba and attended Holy Name School. She was united in marriage to William Juneau on August 15, 1936 and they made their residence in Nahma. William preceded her in death on January 7, 1976. Gen worked for Bay De Noc Lumber Company in Nahma and later for the American Playground Company. She also did cooking for Pine Haven Rest Home and various
restaurants in the area. She married Donald Carley on May 27, 1993 and he preceded her in death in January of 1996.
Genevieve was a former member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Nahma and she loved to play cribbage and pick berries. She enjoyed spending time in the woods and liked to feed and watch birds. Family was important to Gen and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

26 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews,
and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband's, William and Donald, she was preceded in death by 1 son James Kidd in October of 2003. 11 Brothers: James, Francis, William, Charles, John, Mike, Armourice, Armen, Philip, Robert, and Roach. 7 Sisters: Mary, Nellie, Ellen, Agnes, Charlet,
Bernice, and Ritta.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday May 9, 2004 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Genevieve C. Carley will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Deacon Rod Groleau officiating.
