Joan L. Oathoudt, age 70, of 1205 Montana Ave.; Gladstone, died Sunday, June 27th, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba a where she was a patient since June 5th.
Joan was born October 19th, 1933 in Gladstone the daughter of Reed Oathoudt and the former Helen Anderson and was a lifelong Gladstone resident. She attended the Gladstone school system and was a 1951 graduate of the Gladstone High School.
After graduation, she was employed for Morley-Murphy Distributors in Escanaba for a number of years and was last employed for Butch-Quinn Law Offices in Escanaba as an administrative secretary for over 20 years, retiring in 1988.
In earlier years, Joan enjoyed golfing and was also known to have enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and card-playing.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hulbert, a brother-in-law, Rod Hulbert, and a niece, Linda Norman.
The family of Joan L. Oathoudt will receive friends on Friday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services celebrating Joans life will follow on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Patrick of the Grace Baptist Church officiating. Luncheon will follow services at the Grace Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Gladstone. Burial will be in the Gardens of rest Cemetery; Wells.
