Clara Anderson

Died July 7th, 2004

Clara M. Anderson, age 87, of 415 South 4th Street, Gladstone, Mi and former Escanaba resident, died Wednesday evening July 7, 2004 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanba.

Clara was born December 26, 1916 in Daggett, MI the daughter of George and Malvina (Belongie) LaCombe. Clara was raised in the Bark River area and attended the Daggett schools. Throughout her life, Clara worked as a nurses aid at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. Clara also enjoyed and volunteered many hours of her time at the Community Action Center, and at the Senior Center in Gladstone where she would set of for Bingo and for lunch. Clara loved volunteering and continued to do so until her health finally began to decline in her later years. Clara was married to her loving husband Bud Anderson who preceded her in death in 1989. Clara’s hobbies included, going to bingo and completing beautiful puzzles, some of which she framed and kept as keepsakes. Clara is also fondly remembered by her family for watching Emerald on the cooking channel. Clara will be deeply missed by her family and friends. 

In addition to her parents, George and Malvina, and her husband Bud, Clara is preceded in death by: 2 Sons: Roger Campbell and Chuck Goodnough

Also preceding Clara are 12 Brothers and Sisters.

1 Son: Donald (Patty) Campbell of East Tawas, MI

5 Daughters: Alvina Marie (James) Quade of Pahrump, NV, Sandra Diner of Escanaba, Rita (Ken) Seals of Cresents Springs, KY, Bernice (Ralph) Cook of Gladstone, MI, Bonnie (Mike) Casey of Wells, MI

1 Step-Son: Robert (Roberta) Anderson of Gladstone, MI

She also leaves to survive, 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00AM to 11:30AM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Clara Anderson will follow visitation on Monday at 12:00PM at the All Saints Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. Luncheon will follow funeral services in the church parish hall. Burial will be at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. Contributions may be directed to the Delta County Cancer Alliance. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Anderson family with arrangements.
