Ricky Dickerson

Died July 19, 2004

Ricky Dickerson, age 49, of 514 South 15th Street Escanaba, died unexpectedly Monday July 19, 2004 at his home in Escanaba.

Ricky was born December 2, 1954 in Lansing, MI the son of Harold and Helen (Bailey) Dickerson who preceded him in death.  Ricky was raised in Escanaba and attended the Escanaba area schools and attended the Gladstone High School.  Following high school, Ricky served 4 years in the United States Army.  Following his service in the Army, Ricky relocated to Kenosha, WI and went to work for the CASE Tractor Company in Racine.  He worked for CASE for many years until finally relocating back to Michigan where he spent the remainder of his life. 
Ricky’s enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, Harold and Helen, Ricky is preceded in death by:

2 Step Brothers:  Bob and Gary Bingman

2 Sons:  Randy Dickerson of Chicago, IL, Christopher Dickerson of Chicago, IL

2 Daughters:  Lana Dickerson of Chicago, IL, Lara Dickerson of Florida

3 Brothers:  Harold (Linda) Dickerson of Rock, MI, Mike (Cindy) Dickerson of Nahma, MI, David “GUS” (Denise) Dickerson of Soo Hill, MI

5 Sisters:  Marie Ulatonski of Chicago, IL, Amy (Ron) Bohatkiewicz of Twin Lakes, WI, Sherry (John) Valaquette of Wells, MI, Laura (Mike) Mayrand of Kansas, Iva (Jim) Williams of Ohio

Step Mother:  Nadian Foust of Salem, WI

1 Step Sister:  Sharon Holmes of Salem, WI

3 Step Brothers:  Steve (Liz) Bingman of Rapid River, MI, David Foust of Rapid River, MI, Rodney Bingman of Rapid River, MI

Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Dickerson family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00pm to 3:45pm at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.  Gladstone American Legion Military rites will follow visitation at 3:45pm.  Funeral service celebrating the life of Ricky Dickerson will follow military rites at 4:00pm with Pastor Jonathan Schmidt from First Lutheran Church in Gladstone officiating.
