Lillian Williams

Lillian Joyce Williams 69 of Juniper AA Lane, Rapid River, passed away following a five year battle with cancer early Saturday Morning August 14, 2004 at her home in the presence of her loving family and MGH Home Hospice

Lillian was born on May 25, 1935 in East Tawas, Michigan, to James Senecal and Richie (Schaaf) Senecal. Lillian moved to Stonington at the age of nine and spent most of her life on the Stonington Peninsula. Lillian was a life long homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing and craftwork. She was also very fond of her pets and chickens. Lillian was also active in her community; playing horseshoes with her many friends and was a member of the Rapid River Senior Citizen’s Club, she especially enjoyed traveling with the senior group. She very much enjoyed her fellow residents in the Stonington Area. Lillian was a kind loving mother, and wife. She was also very proud of her ten grandchildren and her great grandchild.

Lillian is survived by her daughter Sandra (David) Bleau of Ishpeming and Sons Gene (Tina)Williams, Leslie (Cheryl) Williams and Allan (Betsy) Williams all of Rapid River. Surviving grandchildren include Amber, David, James and Timothy Bleau of Ishpeming; Angel (Williams) Mcarty of Shreveport, LA, Eric, Jackie and Kendel Williams of Rapid River and Kyle and Allie Williams also of Rapid River, great grandchild Jadin Mcarty of Shreveport, LA. Also surviving; Sisters Maxine (Carl) Richee of Nevada, Dorothy (Herb) Tipper of Florida, brothers Fred Senecal of Arizona, James Senecal of Washington State and brother and sister in-law Robert (Viola) Williams of Orchard Lake. Other than her parents, James and Richie Senecal, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Alan E. Williams (also a life long Stonington resident) and her stepmother Virginia Senecal.

Arrangements & private services are being made by Skradski Funeral Home of Gladstone. Lillian requests that in lieu of cards or gifts, that flowers be sent to area nursing homes to help brighten up the lives of area nursing home residents.

Lillian’s family would like to extend special thanks to Patti of MGH Home Hospice and all those in the medical care profession that attended to her over the past five years.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the Williams’ family.
