Wilda F. Anderson, age 82, of 9902 Hwy US 2 ; Rapid River, died Tuesday September 14th, 2004 at the home of her daughter following a brief illness.
Wilda was born July 25th, 1922 in Ensign, the daughter of Guy and Lillian (Johnson) Wellman and was raised in the Ensign and Rapid River areas.
She married Raymond C. Anderson June 24th, 1950 at the Congregational Church in Rapid River and he remains her loving spouse.
Shortly after their marriage, they relocated to the Danforth area and returned to live in the Rapid River vicinity approximately ten years ago.
Wilda was a member of the Congregational Church of Rapid River and truly enjoyed vegetable gardening. Her family, however, was her greatest love and enjoyment.
In addition to her husband, Ray, Wilda F. Anderson’s survivors include:
2 Sons- Donald (special friend, Linda) Anderson of Cornell, Steven Anderson of Escanaba
2 Daughters- Connie (Anson) Visnaw of Escanaba, Judy (Gary) Calvey of Rapid River
3 Sisters- Iola Feathers of Rapid River, Lorraine Whipple of Rapid River, Myrtle Beauchamp of Escanaba
8 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Benine Fox; and an infant daughter, Jeanne Lynn.
The family of Wilda F. Anderson will receive friends on Saturday at the Congregational Church in Rapid River from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church with Rev. William Rafuse officiating. Luncheon will follow services in the Congregational Church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be in the Rapid River Cemetery. |
