Charlotte A. “Chi” Corwin, age 84, of Gladstone, died Sunday morning, September 26th, 2004 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers where she was a patient for the previous seven years.
Charlotte was born December 25th, 1919 in Rapid River, the daughter of Alex and Clara (King) Micheau and was raised in Rapid River. She married Harold J. Corwin August 28th, 1936 and they resided in Gladstone most of their married life. Harold preceded her in death July 31st, 1986.
Charlotte enjoyed cooking, baking, country music and playing games. In earlier years, she was known to have a good time dancing. However, Charlotte’s family was her greatest source of enjoyment and her love of family will never be forgotten by them. She will be sadly missed.

3 Sons- Harold (Noreen) Corwin, Jr. of Escanaba, Wayne (Bev) Corwin of Gladstone, Victor (Sandy) Corwin of Gladstone
4 Daughters- Mary (Don) Nowack of Denmark, WI, Gloria (Dan) Zwicker of Menominee, Clara Popour of Gladstone, Joyce (Dick) Feathers of Gladstone
1 Sister- Marie Deneau of Gladstone
25 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Harold Corwin, Sr., she was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Hayden, Irving, Bert and Pete Micheau, and by 4 sisters; Orsley Young, Laura leach, Gladys Godfrey and Ida Syers.
The family of Charlotte A. Corwin will receive friends on Wednesday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services celebrating Charlotte’s life will follow on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Coates of the Free Methodist Church officiating. Luncheon will follow services. Burial will be next to her husband in Fernwood Cemetery. |
