Megan S. “Meg” Marohnic , age 24, of 10035 15.25 Road; Rapid River (Stonington area) died Tuesday, August 31st, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital iin Escanaba of heart failure. Meg was born February 15th, 1980 at St. Francis Hospital, the daughter of Richard and Edith “Edyie” (Becker) Spriks and was raised in the Gladstone area. She attended the Gladstone School System and was last employed at the Days Inn.
“Meg” married Bruce A. Marohnic August 1st, 2003 and they made their home in Stonington for the last year.
Meg was a member of the Rapid River American Legion Auxiliary Walter W. Cole Post #301 and had a variety of interests and hobbies. These included canvas cross stitching, making photo albums, scrap-booking, flower-gardening, and collecting Coca Cola paraphernalia. In addition, she enjoyed playing games including English darts and pool. Megan had a love of all music and was known to sing and dance. She also was comfortable working under the hood of a car and since living in Stonington, she had fun decorating her home.

Nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Meg was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Eldren and Beatrice Spriks, and by her maternal grandfather, Charles Becker.
The family of Megan S. Marohnic will receive friends on Friday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. with American Legion Auxiliary services at 1:45 p.m. conducted by the Rapid River American Legion Auxiliary Walter W. Cole Post. Services celebrating Megan’s life will follow on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. Burial will be in the Rapid River Cemetery. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Mahronic family. |
