James “Jim” Tredeau Sr., age 68 of the Rapid River/Ensign area, died unexpectedly October 11, 2004 at the V.A. hospital in Milwaukee.
Jim was born September 2, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Earl and Olive (McGraw) Tredeau who preceded him in death. He was raised in the Milwaukee area and attended and graduated from the Pius The IX Catholic School in West Allis, WI in 1955. Following his years in school and in 1955, Jim joined the United States Army. During his years in the Army, Jim was decorated for being a sharp shooter with the carbon riffle. Jim also worked as a metal body repairman, in the Army, until being honorably discharged in 1959. Upon his discharge from the Army, Jim moved back to the Milwaukee area and in 1961 he started his sheet metal apprenticeship at the Holming Company. In 1962, Jim married the former Marcella Erickson of Rapid River. Jim continued his apprenticeship and eventually acquired his journeyman status and worked for the Holming Company until relocating back to the Rapid River area in 1972. Jim worked for the Marquette Sheet Metal Local Union 94 until his retirement at the age of 55. He remained in the Rapid River area until present day. Jim is remembered as being a very hard worker who took pride in his job.

2 Daughters: Sheri (Tom) McLenithan of Waukegan, IL, Jami Pond of Gladstone, MI
1 Brother: Jerome (Anita) Tredeau of West Allis, WI
1 Sister: Maureen (Sam) Blondo of Delafield, WI
6 Grandchildren: Zachery and Bryce Pond, Kaitlyn, Meghen, Ian, and Ryan McLenithan
Also surviving are several, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by 1 Brother: Paul Tredeau and a Son In Law: Kenneth Pond.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00PM to 7:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. |
