Richard “Dick” Kayser, age 63, of N1826 Hwy. M-67, Trenary, MI died of an apparent heart attack while hunting Monday morning November 15, 2004.
Richard was born May 22, 1941 in Cook County, ILL theson of Adolf and Bertha (Martin) Kayser, he was raised in Illinois and his family moved to Trenary when he was a young boy. Dick was a self employed painter and did painting in the Chicago and Trenary areas. He married Joan (McDonnell) on September 26, 2002 and they resided in Trenary.
Dick was the former owner of the Trenary Silver Dollar Bar in Trenary and his hobbies included restoring tractors, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling with his grandson.

1 Step Daughter: Kimberly Valiquette of Escanaba, MI
2 Brothers: Frank (Theresa) Kayser of Tennessee, Terry (Laura) Kayser of Elgin, ILL
5 Sisters: Marge (Richard) Drewes of Trenary, MI, Geraldine Culver of Ewen, MI, Shirley Lloyd of Bradenton, FL, Karen (Mike) Baumler of Daggett, MI, Dolores Kayser-Zaber of Trenary, MI
4 Grandchildren: Candice and Donald Carter of Trenary, MI, Christopher and Jacob Shook of Clarkston, MI
Numerous nieces and nephews 2 Dog buddies: Duke and Dutchess
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by: 2 Brothers: Robert and Jack Kayser 1 Sister: Barbara Joan Kayser
Dick’s family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Richard “Dick” Kayser will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church in Trenary with L.L.M. Kathleen Godec officiating. Burial will follow in the Trenary Cemetery.
