Arlene M. “ Chib” Pickard, age 83, of 415 South 4th Street; Gladstone (Fairview Manor) died Wednesday, December 8th, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Arlene was born April 19th, 1921 in Escanaba, the daughter of John and Louise (Gagnon) Norden and was raised in Escanaba. She married Carlton “Bud” Pickard in 1936 and has resided in the Gladstone area since. “Bud” Pickard preceded her in death in 2000.
Arlene was a member of All Saints Church of Gladstone and in her leisure she enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, and reading.
Survivors of Arlene “Chib” Pickard include:
1 Daughter- Arlene Olson of Plymouth, MI
1 Sister- Angeline Beauchamp of Escanaba
2 Grandchildren: Kathy Olson of Plymouth, MI; Karen (Jim) Satterfield of Livonia, MI
2 sisters-law, 3 brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, “Bud” she was preceded in death by a son, Carl, in 1969 and by her son-in-law, Lloyd Olson.
The family of Arlene M. “Chib” Pickard will receive friends on Saturday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Services celebrating her life will follow on Saturday at the Skradski Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery; Gladstone. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Pickard family. |
