Sandra Lee "Sandy" Dahl, age 58, of 6755 N Road Escanaba, MI died unexpectedly Wednesday January 26, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. Sandra was born November 17, 1946 in Coos Bay, Oregon the daughter of Donald and Vera (Dahlstrom) Hull. Her family moved to Delta County when she was a year old and she was a 1964 graduate of Gladstone High School and she continued her education at Bay College. She had worked for K-mart for 11 years before working and retiring from the Intermediate School District in Escanaba. She worked for over 20 years at the I.S.D. at the learning center for Special Education and retired in 2002. She loved her job and especially
enjoyed working with the children.
Sandy was an active lifetime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba where she had served on the church council and taught Sunday school for 25 years. She was a member of the Michigan Education Association, Community Handicap Awareness Team and the Council of Exceptional Children. Her hobbies included collecting snowmen, working crossword puzzles, making crafts of all kinds and following the local basketball and football teams.
Survivors include her husband Gary who she married on October 11, 1975 at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Sister-in-law: Kathy Dahl of Escanaba
Niece: Kelly (Steve) Pieper of Rochester, MN
Nephew: Richard (Ginny) Hull II of Houston, TX
Great niece and nephew: Sierra Pieper and Riley Hall
Her dog: Haley
Special friends: Jim and Iris Johnson of Gladstone and Judy and John Petrick of Perronville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sandy's family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Sandra Lee Dahl will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba with Rev. Richard Hutton officiating. Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells Township. |
