Robert J. Micheau, age 88, of Gladstone, died Thursday afternoon, February 17, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital where he was a patient since Monday.
Robert was born December 10th, 1916 in Masonville, the son of Henry and Anna (Neveau) Micheau and was raised in the “Buckeye” addition of Gladstone and was a graduate of the Gladstone High School. He spent most of his life in Gladstone except for 20 years where he resided in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Robert was employed for the Soo Line Railroad for many years and retired from the Soo Line as a conductor.
In addition to being a member of All Saints Church, he enjoyed gardening and walking.
Robert J. Micheau’s survivors include:
1 Son- Gary (Vickie) Micheau of Gladstone
3 daughters- Patty (John) Rajala of Forest Lake, Minnesota; Barbara (Harold “Hal”) Thinglum of New Lenox, IL.; Diane Micheau of Kipling
1 Brother- James Doneau of Fort Lauderdale, FLA
1 Sister-Margaret Olis of Scottsdale, AZ
13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Micheau, in 2000, an infant daughter, Carol Anne Micheau, one sister, Margie Green, and by one brother, Francis Doneau.
The family of Robert J. Micheau will receive friends on Saturday, February 19, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. Luncheon will follow services at the All Saints Parish Hall. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Micheau family. |
