William “Bill” Taylor, age 47, of 155 South 29th Street, Gladstone, died Thursday morning February 10, 2005, at his home, following a respiratory illness.
Bill was born July 17, 1957, in Ishpeming, MI, the son of William and Shirley (Sandberg) Taylor. Bill’s mother Shirley preceded him in death. Bill was raised in the Negaunee area and attended and graduated from the Negaunee schools. Following school, Bill went to work for the LS&I Railroad, where he worked as an engineer until eventually retiring after 25 years. On September 9, 1978, Bill married the former Debbie Lequia in Negaunee. Together the couple made their home and raised their family in the Negaunee area. Throughout Bill’s life, he worked for the Northwoods Supper Club and the Harris Funeral Home. Bill spent most of his life in the Negaunee area before eventually relocating to the Gladstone area where he had resided until present day. Bill was an avid musician playing the keyboards and singing. He was very personable with people telling stories and enjoying conversation with most anyone. Bill loved people and people loved him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include: His wife Debbie of Negaunee, MI and his Father William (Jan) Taylor.

1 Daughter: Chauntelle (James) Taylor of Toledo, OH
1 Sister: Patty (John) Guertin of Escanaba, MI
Special Friend: John Vandewiele of Gladstone, MI
Survivors also include, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Shirley and 1 brother, Dennis LaMere.
To honor Bill’s wishes, funeral services were held at the convenience of the Taylor family. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Taylor Family with arrangements. |
