Randall “Randy” Sheffer, age 51, of 811 Dakota Avenue, Gladstone, died Tuesday afternoon April 12, 2005, at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Randy was born August 18, 1953, in Las Vegas, the son of Wilbur and Margaret Sheffer.  He was raised in Las Vegas and attended and graduated from the Las Vegas schools.  Following high school, Randy went on to attend college at the University of Las Vegas and later he attended college in Utah.  Throughout his life he worked as a plasterer for various employers and in 1991, Randy relocated, with his family, to the Delta County area where he worked for Curt Erickson Plastering out of Marinette, WI.  Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two daughters, Bethany and Sarah.  He enjoyed watching his girl’s sporting events and in his earlier years, he was a member of his high school swim team.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters:  Bethany and Sarah Sheffer of Gladstone, MI

1 sister, Cherryl, 1 niece, 1 nephew and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Wilbur and Margaret, Randy was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. 

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.  Memorial services celebrating the life of Randall Sheffer will follow visitation, at the funeral home in Gladstone, with Pastor Ed Leiskau of the House of Mercy Church in Manistique officiating.  The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Sheffer family with arrangements.
