Charles "Chuck" Dausey Jr., age 72, of 801 Minnesota Avenue, Gladstone, died Thursday evening, June 9, 2005, at his home in Gladstone following a lengthy illness.
Chuck was born November 29, 1932, in Flat Rock, the son of Charles and Anna (DeCook) Dausey Sr. He was raised in the Flat Rock area and attended the Carol Corner’s school. Following his years in school, Chuck went on to raise his siblings and maintain their family home. On June 11, 1955, Chuck married the former Mary "Pye" Deneau at the All Saints Church in Gladstone. Mary preceded Chuck in death in 1981. Throughout his life, Chuck was employed for MacGillis and Gibbs, Maple Leaf Dairy, Lindner Motors, Foreign Car Service and Dunlap’s Service. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time at the family hunting camp.

3 Brothers: Steven (Clara) Dausey of Linwood, MI; Carl (Cathie) Dausey of Gladstone, MI; Phillip Boone of Wisconsin Rapids, WI
3 Sisters: Vivian (Francis) Dittrich of Escanaba, MI; Carol Ponds and Della Ponds of Wisconsin
1 Brother in Law: Babe Lofquist of Rapid River, MI
1 Mother in Law: Marie Deneau of Gladstone, MI
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Charles Dausey Jr. will follow visitation, at the Skradski Funeral Home, at 12:00PM, with Fr. Arnold Grambow of the All Saints Church officiating. Committal will be in the Escanaba Township Cemetery in Flat Rock. Memorial contribution to honor Charles Dausey Jr. can be made to the Dausey family. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Dausey family with arrangements.
