Louis Gamache

Louis Gamache, age 75, of 1107 Michigan Avenue, Gladstone, MI died Tuesday morning June 7, 2005 at home following a lengthy illness. Louis was born December 14, 1929 in Gladstone the son of William and Eva (Carriere) Gamache. He was raised in Gladstone and was a graduate of Gladstone High School. On October 24, 1955 he married the former Arebelle “Belle” Curran. Louis served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years where he was stationed in Germany, Georgia, Kansas and Florida. He retired in 1971 and returned to Gladstone. Following his retirement from the Air Force he worked for the U.S. Postal service in Gladstone until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Gladstone American Legion Post #71. Louis loved to fish and always enjoyed fishing in Canada. He was an avid reader and liked to read Tom Clancy novels and books about Air Force Aircraft. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Belle, survivors include:

2 Brothers: Dr. Peter (Sharon) Gamache of Florence, CO; Harold Gamache of Apache Junction, AZ
1 Sister: Pauline (George) Webber of Trenary, MI

Numerous Nieces and Nephews

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by:

3 Brothers: Edward, Lloyd and Clifford

3 Sisters: Helen Webber, Louise Smith and Gertrude Mineau

According to his wishes no visitation or services will be held. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
