Shirley A. Shampo, age 68, of 1309 Michigan Avenue, Gladstone, MI died Friday morning June 24, 2005 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers following complications from a stroke.
Shirley was born April 22, 1937 in Menominee, MI the daughter of Stephen and Evelyn (Johnson) Haluska. She was raised in Carney and was a 1955 graduate of Carney High School. She was united in marriage to Paul Richard Shampo on March 12 1955 in Nadeau. Following their marriage they moved to Milwaukee, WI for 11 years where Shirley worked at the Dutchland Dairy. They moved to Gladstone in 1967 and she worked for the Log Cabin Supper Club for 37 years.
Shirley was an active member of All Saints Church in Gladstone and her hobbies included reading romance, inspiration and mystery novels. Her family was very important to her and she will be sadly missed.

6 Sisters: Henrietta (Chuck) Sahr of Appleton, WI; Sally (Bob) Schroeder of Muskego, WI; Angie Kyano of Milwaukee, WI; Katie (Bob) Pietcsh of Wells, MI; Susie Haluska of Escanaba; Sandy (Dave) Frieberger of Waukesha, WI
8 Grandchildren: Jeremy (Jackie) Meyer, Jessie Meyer; Angie Meyer; Danelle (Adam) Guerts; Jacob Allsworth; Tony Mazanec,;Casey Mazanec and Morgan Schram.
4 Great Grandchildren and one on the way: Paige Allsworth; Dominic Meyer-Anderson; Daisey Meyer
and Ariel Guerts
She was preceded in death by: Father: Stephen Haluska in 1983; Mother: Evelyn Haluska in 1985; Brother: John Haluska in 2003; Great Grandchildren: Carson and Jersie in 2004
Shirley’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 5:45 P.M. EST at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial services will follow at 6:00 P.M. at All Saints Church in Gladstone with Rev. Arnold Grambow officiating. Luncheon will follow services in the church fellowship hall.
