Vernon J. Lang of 1106 South 15th Street, passed away in his sleep at home on the morning of Friday July 15th, 2005.
 
He was born August 29th, 1916 in Escanaba; the son of Joseph F. Lang and Anna Emmerich; he was married in 1941 to the former Clara Labine of Norway. He graduated from Escanaba High School in 1934 and received his Doctorate in Podiatry in 1937 from the Illinois School of Podiatry. He practiced in the Escanaba area until three days before his death, for a total of 68 years in medicine.
 
He is survived by Julie Lang, his daughter in-law; and Justin “Gus” Lang, his only grandson.He was preceded in death by his wife Clara, in 1997, his son Thomas, in 2000, and his son James, who just recently passed away in June of 2005.
 
There will be memorial services held at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church on Thursday, July 21st, at 2:00 pm.
