Allen H. Mills, Sr., age 64 of Gladstone and former Trenary and Gladstone area resident, died Friday, August 19th, 2005 at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba where he was a patient for the previous four months.

Allen was born April 7th, 1941 in Escanaba, the son of Warren and Juanita (Taft) Mills and was raised in Trenary. He continued to reside in Trenary until relocating to South Carolina many years ago. Allen returned to Delta County within the previous two years.

He was employed in construction work much of his working life and was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Allen H. Mills, Sr.’s survivors include:

3 Sons- Allen Mills, Jr. of Iron Mountain; Wayne (Mary) Mills of Marinette; Timothy (Joanna) Mills of Anchorage, Alaska

1 Daughter- Crystal (Scott) Savola of Menominee

His father, Warren Mills of Georgia

2 Brothers- Ken (Bonnie) Mills of Iron Mountain; Gary Mills of Detroit

1 Sister- Ann Green of Trenary

10 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Mills.

The family of Allen H. Mills, Sr. will receive friends on Monday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A service of family remembrances will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home.
