Margarite J. Beaudry, age 89, of 1217 Dakota Avenue; Gladstone died Friday October 21st, 2005 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba where she was currently a patient. She was born November 23rd, 1915 in Gladstone, the daughter of John and Emma (VanGysel) Schmitt and was raised in Gladstone and was a graduate of the Gladstone High School.
Margarite was employed at “Raines Variety Store” in Gladstone in her early working years and after relocating to Flint, Michigan, she worked at Randall High School as a playground superintendent.
Margarite married Lyle A. Beaudry April 24th, 1937 in Flint and they resided there until returning to Gladstone in 1985. Lyle preceded her in death December 1st, 1989.
She was known to have enjoyed to go camping in the Tawas, Michigan area for many years with family and friends. Margarite was a member of All Saints Church of Gladstone.
Margarite’s survivors include:
4 Grandchildren
2 special friends: Barbara (David) Lamberg of Gladstone and Kathy (Jim) Sedlarik of Flint
God-son: Ron Faught, of Yamia, Washington
In addition to her parents and her husband, Lyle, she was preceded in death by a son, John Lyle Beaudry, in 1977.
Visitation for Margarite J. Beaudry is scheduled for Tuesday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will follow on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at All Saints Church with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. Luncheon will follow service at the church parish hall. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery.
