Ruth Alice Froberg, age 67, a resident of Rapid River, MI passed away Monday October 17, 2005 at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba where she had resided for the last two weeks.

Ruth was born March 3, 1938 in Rapid River the daughter of William and Isabel (Deneau) Froberg. Ruth graduated in 1956 from the Franklin School for the Blind. She worked at the Salvation Army and at Lakestates Industries in Escanaba. Ruth was of the Lutheran Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Isabel Froberg, one sister Alice Rousseau, one brother William Jr.

She leaves to survive:

One sister: Marlene (Wayne) Lippold

Five brothers: John (Patsy) Froberg; James (Lora) Froberg; Richard (Dorothy) Froberg; Robert (Nancy) Froberg; Dennis (Marcella) Froberg all from Rapid River

One uncle: Clifford Deneau

Special niece and nephew Linda and Jason Murra and many other nieces and nephews.

Ruth’s family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid River. Funeral services celebrating the life of Ruth Alice Froberg will follow at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Stephen Gauger officiating. Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Rapid River Cemetery.
