Marcella P. Pfotenhauer, age 82, of Escanaba and longtime Gladstone resident, died Thursday, October 20th, 2005 at Marquette General Hospital.

Marcella was born March 16th, 1923 in Escanaba, the daughter of Horace and Ruby (Manning) Provo was raised in Escanaba and was a 1941 graduate of the Escanaba High School.
She married Donald J. Pfotenhauer October 29th, 1943 and he preceded her in death September 30th, 1991.

In earlier times, Marcella was employed as a receptionist for the office of Dr. David Jondrow and later for the “Regal Bridal Salon” both located in Gladstone.
She was honored as the “Grand Marshall” of the 4th of July Parade in Gladstone in 1992, as a designation of respect and honor for herself as well as for her late husband, “Don”
Marcella is a former member of All Saints Church in Gladstone and a current member of St. Anne Church in Escanaba.

3 Sons- Donald (Barbara) Pfotenhauer of Escanaba; Thomas (Corinne) Pfotenhauer of Stonington; Richard (Anne) Pfotenhauer of Gladstone

1 Sister- Bonnie Comiskey of Arlington Heights, Ill.

10 Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, husband, and infant brother, she was also preceded in death by an infant grand-daughter, Tracey Sue Pfotenhauer.

The family of Marcella Pfotenhauer will receive friends on Monday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will follow on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at All Saints Church with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. Luncheon will follow services in the All saints parish Hall. Entombment will be in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery; Wells.

The family respectfully requests memorials in her behalf be directed to the Gladstone High School Athletic Department. Envelopes are available at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Homes or memorials may be sent directly to the family.
