Gregory Robert “Chunts” Bond, age 50, of 10216 Hwy US 2, Rapid River, MI died Friday morning November 4, 2005 at home following a lengthy illness with cancer.

Gregory was born April 28, 1955 in Ishpeming, MI the son of Albert and Ruth Hazel (Meyles) Bond. He was raised in Rapid River and was a 1973 graduate of Rapid River High School. While in high school he participated in track and football. Greg lived most of his life in Rapid River and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include:

1 Son: Phillip Dausey of Gladstone

1 Brother: Gary (Bonnie) Bond of Perkins

3 half brothers: Joe, Jim and Paul

1 half sister: Debbie

Greg was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gerald.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. William Rafuse of the Rapid River Congregational Church officiating. Luncheon will follow at the Rapid River Congregational Church.
