Lillian L. Cartwright Mast, age 77, of 9064 LL Road; Rapid River (Isabella area) died early Sunday morning, November 13th, 2005, at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba where she was currently a patient.
Lillian was born November 17th, 1927 in Gladstone, the daughter of Fred and Opal LeClaire and was raised in Gladstone.
After graduating Gladstone High School, she received her degree as an L.P.N. and was later employed at Christian Park for many years until her retirement 20 years ago.
Lillian was married to Wallace “Coop” Cartwright for 38 years and he preceded her in death in 1984.
She later married Maynard L. Mast in 1988 and he survives.
Lillian and her husband enjoyed gaming at casinos and they always enjoyed each others company.
In addition to her loving husband, Maynard, Lillian Mast survivors include:
1 Daughter- Barbara Joque of Oregon
1 Brother- Frank LeClaire of Wisconsin
7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Douglas Cartwright; and nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Lillian Cartwright Mast will be held on Friday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Services celebrating her life will follow on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Deacon Rod Groleau officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery; Wells.
