Nancy J. Stein, age 79, of 1401 North 23rd Street, Escanaba, MI died Saturday morning November 5, 2005 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba where she was a patient. Nancy was a 3 month resident of Christian Park Village in Escanaba.

Nancy was born June 15, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Kramer) Wagner. She married Aaron Stein on March 20, 1949 in Milwaukee and they made their home in Ishpeming before moving to Escanaba in the 1950’s. She had worked for Larry’s Clothing Store and later the Fair Store in Escanaba for many years. Her hobbies included playing bingo, working search word books, baking and knitting.

1 Daugher: Linda (Mitch Jensen) Arbour of Escanaba

1 Sister: Thelma (Dave) Montag of San Diego, CA

Brother-in-laws: Larry Stein of Escanaba and Meyer Stein of Irvine, CA

2 Grandchildren: Alan Arbour of Escanaba and Scott Arbour of Marquette

1 Great Grandson: Aaron Arbour of Marquette

Nancy was preceded in death by her huband, Aaron.

Nancy’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 P.M. at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home with Mr. Harvey Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette, WI. Memorials may be directed to O.S.F. Hospice or to the Salvation Army, envelopes will be available at the Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes.
