Amber J. Winnie, age 6, of 409 South 13th Street, Escanaba, MI died unexpectedly Thursday evening November 17, 2005 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Amber was born December 18, 1998 in Escanaba the daughter of Edward and Barbara (Debassige) Winnie. Amber currently was a student at the Delta Schoolcraft Intermediate School District Learning Center in Escanaba. She cherished playing with her brothers and sister and especially liked attending school. Amber loved flirting with boys and always had a smile on her face. She was a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Indian Tribe.

Brothers: Aaron and Daniel Dougherty at home
Sister: Shayna Dougherty at home
Half Brothers: Timothy and James Winnie of Romulus, MI
Maternal Grandparents: Jean Debassige of Qwinn, MI and Joe Debassige of Rapid River, MI.
Paternal Grandfather: Leland (Connie) Winnie of Monroe, MI
Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins
She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandmother Joy Coupoulis and uncle Joey Nikunen.
Amber’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor John Small officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation, envelopes will be available at the Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes.
