Aldore Lusardi

Adlore J. Lusardi, age 91, of Trenary, died Sunday afternoon, December 11th, 2005, at the home of his daughter, Ellen Chenail, in Gladstone. Adlore was born May 28th, 1914 in Trombly, MI, the son of John and Mathilda (LeBresh) Lusardi, attended school in Trombly and Osier, and was a lifetime resident of the Trenary area.

He married the former Ingrid I. Pajunen October 13th, 1942 in Marquette and she preceded him in death July 3rd, 1992.

In his early working years, he was employed as a teamster and was employed for “Larson Brothers Loggers” for a period of time. Adlore later worked in construction and was a member of the Operators Engineers Local #324, retiring in 1982. During his construction career, he was employed for Straits Construction of St. Ignace, McMahon Construction of Iron River, and Alpine Construction, among others.

Adlore was particularly fond of dancing and his family has happy memories of him and his wife dancing at numerous social activities. Having enjoyed horses all his life, he also enjoyed judging horse pulling contests as well. In addition, Adlore like to go for car-rides, and visiting people.
Like so many people of his generation, he was known as an independent and self-reliant individual and his family has the utmost respect, admiration, and love for him. He will be sadly missed.

2 Sons: Marvin (Maureen Franklin) Lusardi of Gladstone; Wayne (Nancy) Lusardi of Troy, MI

1 Daughter: Ellen (Fred) Chenail of Gladstone

3 Sisters: Celia (Joseph) Kodanko of McFarland, MI; Ellen (Ernest) Trosvig of Marquette; Amelia Gryzbowski of Gladstone

Sister-law: Rita Lusardi of Ishpeming

6 Grandchildren: Douglas (Debbie) Chenail of Swartz Creek, MI; Lori (Rob) Hartung of Gladstone; Ronald (Jenny) Chenail of Escanaba; Jody Brock of Wetmore, MI; Gina (Dr. Derek) Olson of Petosky and Michael Lusardi of Georgetown Law School; Washington, DC

5 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, and his wife, Ingrid, Adlore was preceded in death by one brother, Andrew Lusardi.

The family of Adlore J. Lusardi will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13th, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Parish Prayers being recited at 5:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Adlore’s life will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon at St. Rita’s Church in Trenary with Rev. Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. A brief visitation will be held at St. Rita’s Church prior to Mass. Luncheon will follow services at St. Rita’s Parish Hall and burial will be in the Trenary Cemetery.
