Mark Tennant

Mark “Marko” A. Tennant, age 37, of 8642 Weswood0.6 Drive; Gladstone, died Friday, December 30th, 2005, in Mackinac County as a result of an auto mishap.

Mark was born March 31st, 1968 in Rogers City, MI, the son of William and Alice (Stoner) Tennant and was raised in Onaway, MI and attended Onaway Schools. In earlier years, he was employed as an outfitter in Wyoming for a season and always fondly remembered that time in his life. He later moved to Gaylord, MI and worked for his brother as an electrician who owned and operated “Sunrise Co.”

After his marriage to his wife, the former Bonnie Hoogerhyde Kozlowski, in 1996 in Gaylord, he relocated to Gladstone where they have resided since. Mark was later employed as a sheet-metal worker and was a member of the Wisconsin Sheet Metal Workers Local #7. At the time of his passing, he was employed for “John E. Green Co.” in Mackinac County with a casino building project.
Mark was an enthusiastic follower of the “Green Bay Packers” and the “Detroit Redwings” hockey team and was well known to family and friends as an ardent NASCAR fan. Motorcycles were also of keen interest to him.      

Mark was raised as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

1 Son- Tyler Tennant of Barryton, MI

4 Daughters-Mindy (Douglas) Schmidt of Ishpeming, MI; Kelly Kozlowski of Marquette, MI; Leigh Tennant of Barryton, MI; “KC-E” Tennant of Barryton, MI

3 Brothers- Larry Tennant of the Upper Peninsula; William “Bid” (Terri) Tennant of Gaylord, MI; Mike (Teri) Tennant of Pinedale, Wyoming

2 Grandchildren- Parker and Collin Schmidt and numerous nieces and nephews and a family dog, “Reggie”.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Tennant, and by a brother, Leslie Tennant.
The family of Mark “Marko” A. Tennant will receive friends on Tuesday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and upon his request, there will be no formal funeral service.
