Angela Cecelia Lustick, age 97, formerly of the Traunik and Gladstone areas and currently residing at the Christian Park Village Health Care Facility, died Sunday January 15, 2006 at the Christian Park Village where she had been a patient.
Angela was born January 15, 1909, at the Mathias Logging Camp in Alger County, the daughter of Charles and Frances (Rus) Laurich. She was raised in Limestone and attended the Limestone schools. In December of 1931, Angela married Ludwig L. Lustick and together the couple made their home in Traunik where they raised their family. She loved her home in Traunik and she worked hard at being a good mother and also a good wife to Ludwig. Angela had an open door policy, at her home, and always had friends and family stopping by for a chat. Angela remained in Traunik for a period of time after Ludwig’s death in April of 1982. In her early 80’s, Angela relocated to the Gladstone area and she resided in Gladstone until 2004 when her health began to fail. At that time, Angela moved to the Christian Park Village in Escanaba where she has resided for the remainder of her life. Angela is remembered for being an exceptional hostess who loved cooking and enjoyed gardening. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

1 Son: John Lustick of Pontiac, MI
2 Daughters: Joan (Richard) Jacobs of Grafton, WI; Dorothy (Nicholas) Menghini of Waterford, MI
1 Brother: John (Doris) Laurich of Spring Hill, FL
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Charles and Frances and her husband Ludwig, Angela was preceded in death by, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Angela’s family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Angela Cecelia Lustick will follow visitation, at 11:00AM, at the Skradski Funeral Home, with Rev. Jonathan Schmidt of the First Lutheran Church of Gladstone officiating. Luncheon will follow at the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Gladstone.
