Martin Steven “Marty” Lockard, age 53, of 2363 Eastman Avenue, Green Bay, WI died Thursday February 16, 2006 at his home in Green Bay.

Martin was born November 23, 1952 in Escanaba the son of George and Myrna (Martin) Lockard. He was raised in Gladstone and he was a 1970 graduate of Gladstone High School. He continued his education at Bay de Noc College in Escanaba for 2 years before transferring to Lake Superior State University for 1 year. He then transferred to Northern Michigan University where he received his Master’s Degree in Counseling. Following graduation he worked for the Rock Public Schools before opening Lockard’s Jewelry Store in Manistique. He later went into business with his father in
Gladstone with Lockard’s Jewelry and Ceramic Store. For the past 5 years he has resided in Green Bay where he was an associate with Walmart Corporation.

Marty was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Gladstone and his hobbies included photography, hunting, fishing and helping people in a time of need.

Several Cousins

According to his wishes no visitation will be held, a private funeral service will be conducted by the Lockard family. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes are assisting the Lockard family.
