Geraldine Londo

Geraldine “Geri” Londo, age 71, of Escanaba, died, Monday February 27, 2006, at the Christian Park Health Care Facility in Escanaba.

Geri was born on March 26, 1934, in Detroit, the daughter of August and Agnes (Seymour) Bulchak.  She was raised in Escanaba by her maternal grandparents and attended and graduated from the St. Joseph Catholic High School.  Following high school, Geri went to work as a secretary for the Holy Name Catholic Schools.  On January 7, 1956, Geri married Gerald “Jerry” Londo and together the couple made their home, in Escanaba where Geri worked as a homemaker raising their family.  Gerald preceded her in death on December 27, 2003.  Geri was a member of the Escanaba Elks Club, the Escanaba Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf and she loved to play bridge. 

Survivors include:

1 Son:  Christopher Londo of Escanaba, MI

1 Daughter:  Francene (John) Berglund of Mattawan, MI

2 Sisters:  Shirley (Gaylord) Larsen of Gladstone, MI; Mary (Kenny) Lessard of Gladstone, MI

3 Grandchildren:  Cody, Anna and Marcus

Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins

In addition to her husband Gerald, Geri was preceded in death by her parents, August and Agnes and 1 brother, Roland Bulchak.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00PM to 5:30PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba.  Funeral services celebrating the life of Geraldine “Geri” Londo will follow visitation at 6:00PM at the St. Joseph St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Lawrence Gauthier officiating.  Luncheon will follow in the St. Joseph St. Patrick Parrish Hall.  Committal will be on Saturday at 10:00AM at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.  Two of Geri’s grandchildren, Anna and Marcus, have been diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia and at the request of the Londo family, contributions may be directed to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, Inc. 1801 Willamette Street #200 Eugene, OR 97401.  Envelopes will be available at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba.
