Carol A. Corcoran, age 67, of 2600 South Hill Road, Gladstone, MI died Monday morning May 22, 2006 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba following a brief illness.
Carol was born February 3, 1939 in Green Bay, WI the daughter of Charles and Ann (Malliet) Ritz. She was raised in Green Bay and she was a 1957 graduate of Green Bay East High School. Following graduation she was united in marriage to Thomas Corcoran on October 24, 1959 at the Green Bay Cathedral. They made their home in Green Bay where they raised their five children. While in Green Bay Carol had worked at Andrew’s Oil Company, Avis Rent-A-Car and Dean’s Ice Cream. Tom and Carol moved to Gladstone in 2001. Carol was a member of All Saints Church in Gladstone and her hobbies included planting flowers, working puzzles, cross-stitching, making crafts and keeping in touch with family and friends via e-mail. She was a wonderful cook and her family will miss her spaghetti dinners, Toll House cookies, chili and potato salad.
She loved her grandchildren and they treasured her backrubs when they were sick. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

1 Brother: Charles (Jean) Ritz of Green Bay, WI
9 Grandchilden: Nicole and Tyler Helgeson, Ashlee Thyes, Brooke Corcoran, Shaelynn and Lauren Corcoran, Justin Corcoran, Brianna and Christian Naser.
1 Great Grandchild: Xavior Corcoran
Carol’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial Services will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the All Saints Church in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. A luncheon will follow services in the church parish hall.
