Roger Rowland

Roger W. “Dutch” Rowland, age 68, of Chaison Road; Gladstone, died Friday, June 9th, 2006, as a result of motorcycle accident that evening in the Rapid River area.

Dutch was born March 1st, 1938 in Millegeville, Ill, the son of L.W. and Neva Rowland. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he met and married Irene “Sue” Belanger and after his honorable discharge, he and Sue relocated to the Gladstone area. Sue died May 24th, 2006.

In addition to other professions, he was last employed as a truck driver for many years. Dutch also owned and operated “Dutch’s Slot Shop” arcade in Gladstone for number of years. Family and friends, who where always important to him, remember his enjoyment of motorcycling and his love of music. “Karaoke” was one of his favorite past-times. In earlier years, Dutch also was a Cub Scout Master.

Roger “Dutch” Rowland’s survivors include:

1 Son- Michael Rowland of Appleton, WI

2 Sisters- Barbara of Scio, Oregon and Joyce  of Rockfalls, Ill

and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, “Sue”, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Upon Dutch’s request, there will be no public services. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Rowland family
