Donald F. Seymour, age 65, of 3407 Gijik, Escanaba, died Saturday October 7, 2006, at the Christian Park Health Care Facility in Escanaba.

Donald was born September 25, 1941, in Nahma, the son of Alex and Elsie (Dayson) Seymour.  He was raised in Nahma and attended the F. W. Good School.  Throughout his life, Donald worked primarily as a laborer, jobs which included, painting, factory work and in his younger years, working in the woods.  Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball and swimming.  He also loved to dance and listen to country music.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

3 Sons:  Donald Seymour Jr. of Munising, MI; Dion (Jennifer) Seymour of Escanaba, MI; Vern Seymour of New Berry, MI

3 Daughters:  Dodie Rosseau of Munising, MI; Donna Nikunen of Munising, MI; Brenda Seymour of Escanaba, MI

2 Brothers:  Alex “Elmer” (Beverly) Seymour of Escanaba, MI; Alfred (Janice) Seymour of Gladstone, MI

Special friends:  Claude Mead and son Mike Mead

Also listed among the surviving family are numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins and Donald’s former wife Linda Nikunen.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church, located at 302 South 6th Street Escanaba.  Funeral services celebrating the life of Donald F. Seymour will follow visitation, at 2:00PM, at the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mary Laub officiating.  Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.  The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Seymour family with arrangements.
