Katherine E. Tomac, age 89, of Gladstone and former Perkins and Oconomowoc and Wauwatosa, Wisconsin resident, died Saturday, October 14th, 2006 at the Pine Haven Adult Foster Care Facility in Gladstone where she was currently a patient.

Katherine was born April 6th, 1917 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Katherine (Krause) Weisling,Sr. and was raised in the Milwaukee area and had resided in that area for many years.
She married John Tomac in 1939 and he preceded her in death in April 27th, 1987.

In the mid-1970’s Katherine and her husband settled in the Perkins areas and after his death, she relocated to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in 1989. To be closer to family, she moved to Gladstone in 2001.

Katherine had a quiet demeanor and her family remembers her as a loving mother and grandmother who always was fair to all. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Katherine Tomac’s survivors include:

1 Son- Ronald (Catherine) Tomac of Gladstone

1 Brother- John (Jean) Weisling of Oconomowoc, MI

2 Sisters- Marge Weil of Wauwatosa, WI; Liza (Frank) Kilvinger of Wauwatosa, WI

9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, John Tomac, she was preceded in death by a son, John, in 1971,and by a sister, Helen Whittaker.

The family of Katherine E. Tomac will receive friends on Tuesday at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes in Milwaukee from 12:00 Noon CDT to 2:00 p.m. CDT. Services celebrating her life will follow on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes and entombment will follow in the Wisconsin Memorial Park.  Luncheon will follow services. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are in the care of all arrangements.
