Shirley Anne Bader, age 73, of 1401 North 23rd Street; Escanaba, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Elder Inn Adult Foster Care Facility in Rapid River.

Shirley was born July 24th, 1933 in Escanaba, the daughter of Thomas and Bernadette (Chevette) Beauchamp and was a lifelong Escanaba resident. Before her retirement, she was proudly employed as a “Second Cook” for Inland Steel Corporation and sailed the Great Lakes in that capacity.

Shirley Bader’s survivors include:

2 Sons- Michael Kolich of Escanaba; Nicholas (Vickie) Kolich of Escanaba

3 Daughters- Jean (Bryan) Eagle of Gladstone: Kate (Bill) Prest of Okauchee, WI; Millie (Fred) Niquette of Stonington

2 Sisters- Mary Lou (Francis “Swede”) Derusha of Escanaba; Dorothy Redman of Florida

4 Grandchildren- Damian Niquette, Nichole Kolich, Mistey Ullmer, and Mic Kolich

1 Great-Granddaughter, Haley Seger

and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty.

Private funeral services will be conducted by the family. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes are assisting the Bader family.
