June L. Boudreau, age 39, of 1009 North 16th Street, died unexpectedly Monday December 4, 2006, at her home in Escanaba, of an apparent heart attack.
June was born June 29, 1967, in Fort Carson, CO, the daughter of Jim and Bev (Petersen) Heslip. She was raised in Brampton and was a 1985 graduate of the Gladstone High School. Following school and on September 2, 1989, June married Thomas Boudreau, at Munising Falls in Munising, MI, and together the couple made their home and raised their daughter in Escanaba. Throughout her life, June worked for various employers before eventually attaining her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from Bay de Noc Community College. June went on to gain employment at the St. Francis Hospital as an LPN/EKG-EEG Tech. June had a lovely spirit and is fondly remembered by friends and loved ones as “June Bug”, “Junie”, and “The Grinch”. June was a member of Christ the King Church and the Webster Elementary School PTO. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends. In addition, June had a strong passion for horses, she enjoyed reading her bible, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and most importantly, spending time and raising her daughter, Nina. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her, especially the wonderful girls she worked with at St. Francis Hospital.

Step Daughter: Kelli A. Seaton of Escanaba, MI; Bill Heslip of Oregon
Maternal Grandmother: Rose Petersen of Ishpeming, MI
Also surviving is one step grandchild, June’s Sunday morning breakfast club and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
June was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Albert and June Heslip, maternal grandfather, Norman “Pete” Petersen and cousin, Colleen Schaeffer.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of June L. Boudreau will follow on Friday, at 11:00AM, at Christ the King Church, in Escanaba, with Pastor Peter Andersen officiating. Committal services will immediately follow funeral services at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. Luncheon will be provided following committal services, at Christ the King Church Fellowship Hall. Contributions may be respectfully directed to the Boudreau family for an education fund, to be established at a later date, for June’s daughter, Nina. The Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Boudreau family with arrangements.
