Ricky Chapla, age 45, of 303 South 11th Street, Escanaba passed away Thursday, December 7, 2006 from a massive heart attack.
 
Ricky, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Page) Chapla was raised and attended school in Escanaba. He was united in marriage to MitziWaybrant on May 26, 1990 in Escanaba. He loved his dogs, collecting wolf memorabilia and anything to do with science fiction.
 
Ricky was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Lisa Payant.
 
Including his wife and father survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Flagstadt and Rebecca Lucas, both of Green Bay, WI; a brother, Rod (Joanne) Chapla of Escanaba, two grandchildren, Kristofer Elya and Amber Rose Mastey, both from Green Bay, WI.
 
Burial and Memorial Services are being planned for spring at Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. The Chapla family is being assisted by the Skradski-Boyce  Funeral Homes of Escanaba.
