Mildred L. “Mac” VanBrocklin, age 75, of Gladstone passed away Christmas Eve at the home of her daughter in Escanaba surrounded by family members.
Mildred was born February 26, 1931 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to William and Mae Irene (Hyslop) McIntosh. She was united in marriage to Harry James VanBrocklin on July 1, 1950 and was a longtime member and church secretary for the Grace Baptist Church in Gladstone.
Mildred is survived by:
3 Daughters: Cathy (Gregory) Stupak of Escanaba; Patti Jo (Terrence) Peterson of Little Canada, MN; Vicki (James) Le Gault of Gladstone
7 Grandchildren: Philip and Cori Stupak, Meaghan, Amanda and Benjamin Peterson, Rachel and Mike LeGault
Her Brother: Thomas (Phyllis) McIntosh of New York
Her Sister: Barbara (Vernon) Teater of Oregon
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, a son, William Philip VanBrocklin and her parents.
Funeral services for Mildred will be Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 6:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Pastor Kevin McIlhany officiating. Mildred’s family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 at the funeral home. Mildred will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fernwood Cemetery.
