Robert H. “Bob” Miller, age 71, of 514 Michigan Avenue, Gladstone, MI died Saturday evening January 13, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born May 12, 1935 in West Hamlin, WV the son of Floyd and Mary (Woodall) Miller. He was raised in West Hamlin where he was a graduate of the West Hamlin High School.

Bob was the President of Accu-Guard Incorporated in Dallas, TX for numerous years, retiring in 1998.
Prior to working for Accu-Guard he was a police officer for the City of Waterford, MI. Bob’s hobbies included going to the casino, hunting, gardening and working on building projects around the home. Family was very important to Bob and he treasured spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

1 son: Steve Robert Miller of Dallas, TX

3 daughters: Roxanne (Terry) Schramm of Rapid River; Terri (William) Furr of Gladstone; Stacy Miller (Don) Dominick of Gladstone

2 brothers: Eugene Miller of Livingston, TX; Raymond Miller of Hurricane, WV

1 sister: Jane Miller of Granbury, TX

9 grandchildren: Steven Miller of Escanaba, Ashley Miller of Dallas, TX, Jesse (Laura) Schramm of Gladstone, Erick (Stacey) Schramm of Springport, MI, Stephanie Compton of Dallas, TX, Jennifer Boyd of Dallas, TX, Barbara Dominick of Gladstone, Nicollette Furr of Gladstone, and Vincent Furr of Marquette.

9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Dominick, nephew, Kevin Luebke and 5 brothers, Denver, Floyd Jr., Carl, George and Cabel.

Bob’s family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Robert H. Miller will follow at 5:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Fr. Rayford Ray and Rev. Carol Clark officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in the Rapid River Cemetery in Rapid River.
