Helen A. Sundling, age 73, of the Roubal Care and Rehabilitation Center in Stephenson, MI (formerly of Gladstone) died Saturday morning January 20, 2007 following a lengthy illness at the Roubal’s Care and Rehabilitation Center in Stephenson.

Helen was born March 10, 1933 in Kipling the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Beck) Smith. She was raised in Kipling and attended the Gladstone Public Schools. Helen was united in marriage to William R. Sundling in 1953 and later made her residence in Gladstone. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include:

1 son: William C. (Renee) Sundling of Neenah, WI

2 daughters: Rosalie “Dolly” (Henry) Menchl of Appleton, WI; Kathryn (Joel) Zimmermann of Gladstone

3 sisters: Mary Lippens Johnson of Escanaba; Theresa (Larry) Boyer of Mankato, MN; Rosalie (Donald) Keen of Rio Linda, CA

5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Helen A. Sundling will follow at 6:00 P.M. at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow of the All Saints Church officiating. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
