Neil John “Pike” Erickson, age 85, of Trenary, MI died Monday March 19, 2007 at his residence in Trenary.

Neil was born February 15, 1922 in Trenary, MI the son of Andrew and Mary (Koiniumaki) Erickson. He was raised in Trenary before serving in the U.S. Army during WW II. Following his return from service he worked at the Buick Plant in Flint for General Motors. Following his retirement he returned to Trenary where he worked on the family farm.

Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters, Andrew Erickson Jr., Toivo Erickson, Carlo Erickson who died in action during WW II, Blanch Koski, Ina Erickson, Martha Zorza, Esther Erickson, Lydia Phillips and Christine Erickson.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the First Lutheran Church in Trenary. Funeral services celebrating the life of Neil “Pike” Erickson will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church with LLM Kathleen Godec officiating. Burial will be in the Trenary Cemetery.
