Marcia Lu Priebe, age 61, of 3392 County Road #416; Cornell died Monday, April 23rd, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba following a lengthy illness.

Marcia was born June 4th, 1945 in East Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Clare Burr Foster and the former Jeannette Clair Ferris and was raised in East Lansing. After graduating high school there, she attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Marcia later relocated to the Upper Peninsula, settling in  Engadine where she met her husband, Kevin D. Priebe, Sr.  They married June 7th, 1974 and moved to the Cornell area in 1980 where they have resided since.

Her education continued at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba where she received a business degree and Marcia was currently employed for the Delta Menominee District Health Department.

Including her talents in craftwork especially crocheting, family and friends especially remember her great love of flower gardening and bird-watching. Spending time with family, however, was always the most important aspect of her life.

In addition to Kevin, her husband of 33 years,  Marcia Priebe survivors include:

3 Sons- Ron (Becky) Reed of Escanaba; Brad Reed of Cornell; Kevin (Shannon Bruce) Priebe, Jr. of the Flat Rock area (Escanaba Twp.)

1 Daughter- Jena  Priebe of Los Angeles, CA

9 grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Michelle and Amy Reed, and by a brother, James, and a sister, Shirley Rahl.

Upon Marcia’s request, there will be a visitation only and the family of Marcia Lu Priebe will receive friends on Friday at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba from 12:00 Noon  to 4:00 p.m.
