Margaret M. “Peggy” Reese, age 78, of 913 Michigan Avenue; Gladstone, died Wednesday, April 11th, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba where she was a patient for the previous two days.
Peggy was born September 5th, 1928 in Garden, the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Ward) McLeod was raised in Garden and has been a resident of Gladstone since 1939. She was a 1947 graduate of the Gladstone High School. On Christmas Eve of 1949, she and James R. Reese were united in marriage in Gastra, Michigan and he survives.
In earlier years, Peg was an avid golfer and was a former member of the Gladstone Golf Club and she also loved to crochet “afghans”. In addition, she had a strong artistic nature, and she enjoyed painting for many years.

1 Brother- Mark (Barb) McLeod of Florida
1 Sister- Carmelita Pierson of Texas
A sister-in-law, Gladyce McLeod of Menominee, MI
5 Grandsons, 5 grand-daughters, 3 great-grand-daughters, and 1 great-grandson
And nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Reese in 2003, Kerry Reese in 2004, and by a brother, Robert “Bob” McLeod.
The family of Margaret, “Peggy” Reese will receive friends on Saturday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. Services celebrating her life will follow on Saturday at 12:00 Noon at the Skradski Funeral Home with Rev. Ellen Jensen of the Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Luncheon will follow services at the All Saints Church Parish Hall. The family respectfully requests memorial be directed to the “All Saints Church Elevator Fund”. Envelopes will be available at the Skradski-Boyce Family Funeral Homes of Delta County who are assisting the Reese family.
