Mildred “Millie” Seronko, age 88, of 213 Wisconsin Avenue, Gladstone, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was born December 2, 1918 in Gladstone to Ole and Minnie (Hegbloom) Palmquist. Millie was a lifelong resident of Gladstone and a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Walter Seronko in Gladstone in 1935. She worked as a custodian at the Gladstone High School for 14 years until she retired at the age of 68. She was also involved with Weight Watchers for many years and continued to visit others even after she reached her desired weight. Millie also enjoyed making dolls, taking walks, traveling, camping and the outdoors. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She was often seen at sporting events and other functions that her grandchildren and great grandchildren participated in. Millie will also be remembered for her magnetism towards all children and her unique sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services for Millie will be Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone with Pastor Jonathan Schmidt officiating. The Seronko family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 at the church. Luncheon will immediately follow services. Millie will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. The Seronko family is being assisted by the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.
