Donna K. Major, age 42, of 6011 Horseshoe 22.3 Drive; Gladstone (Escanaba Township) died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 9th, 2007 at home of an apparent heart attack.

Donna was born October 13th, 1964 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Glenn and Vanda (White) Williams and was raised in Hastings, Oklahoma and relocated to Delta County in 1997 from Dallas, Texas. Donna was employed as a nurses aide for a number of years and was a very dedicated and hardworking individual who loved her residents at Christian Park Village in Escanaba where she was currently employed. Donna worked for both the “Village” and the Christian Park Health Care Center for the last ten years, but mostly at the “Center”.

In addition, she had previously been employed at the Sunny Shores Adult Foster Care Facility in Gladstone.

Together with her fiancé, Bob Myers, she enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and NASCAR.

Donna Major’s survivors include:

1 Daughter- Amber (Jeremy Schwark) Rhea of Gladstone

1 Son- Aaron Faulk of Texas

Her fiancé, Bob Myers, of Gladstone

Her father, Glenn Williams of Hastings, Oklahoma

3 Grandchildren of Bob Meyers whom she considered as her own grandchildren: Abbie Myers, Alexis Trombley, and Maranda Myers.

A niece and nephew, Michelle and Ivan Hardwick of Rapid River, and great niece and nephew, Halie and Takoda Hardwick.

Survivors also include special friends, Sara Belanger and Carla Noel.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother and a sister, Debra Miller

Visitation for Donna K. Major will be held on Wednesday at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Services celebrating her life will follow on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home with Rev. William Rafuse of the Congregational Church of Rapid River officiating. Luncheon will follow services at the Congregational Church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be in the New Garden Cemetery.
